SACHIN H. JAIN is the President/CEO of CareMore Health System. Previously, he was the Chief Medical Information and Innovation Officer at Merck and Company; Lecturer in Health Care Policy at Harvard Medical School; and Attending Physician at the Boston VA Medical Center.
Sachin was born in New York to naturalized parents from India who live in New Jersey.
From 2009-2011, Sachin served in the Obama administration where he was Special Assistant to the National Coordinator for Health Information Technology and Senior Advisor to the Administrator of the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services.
Sachin received AB, MD, and MBA degrees from Harvard University and completed his residency in internal medicine at Brigham and Women's Hospital/Harvard Medical School. He is co-founder and co-editor-in-chief ofHealth Care: The Journal of Delivery Science and Innovation. He is the author of over 50 publications on health care reform and the founder of several non-profit initiatives. His book, Soul of a Doctor, was published in 2006 and has been translated into Chinese.
