Sourav Dey is the child of immigrants from Bangladesh and India

Fellowship awarded to support work towards a PhD in Electrical Engineering at Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT)

Sourav Dey is chief technology officer and co-founder of Manifold, an AI engineering company. Global companies partner with Manifold to build intelligent software products faster. As leader of the engineering team, Sourav has years of expertise, enabling him to help clients move faster by making the right decisions at the right time. He focuses on machine learning and data engineering work across client projects and developing platform technologies to make our engineers more efficient. He also works closely with business stakeholders, gaining a clear understanding of their priorities and challenges.

Sourav’s career has always been at the intersection of math and computer science—prior to Manifold, he led teams building smart thermostats and security cams at Google-Nest, worked on an IoT platform at Ingenu, and designed algorithms for wireless chips at Qualcomm. He has authored over a dozen papers and patents for his work on intrusion detection, user similarity, and wireless. He holds PhD, MS, and BS degrees from MIT in electrical engineering and computer science.

Sourav was born in Michigan to parents who emigrated from India. Sourav grew up in Kentucky, Korea, and Malaysia.
