Vikram Sheel Kumar is the child of immigrants from India

Fellowship awarded to support work towards an MD in Medicine at Harvard University

VIKRAM SHEEL KUMAR is an engineer, physician and entrepreneur.

Vikram grew up in Jamestown, New York, before he moved to New Delhi, India at the age of 10.

Vikram attended the Indian Institute of Technology, and later received a BS in industrial engineering and operations research from Columbia University's School of Applied Sciences. He graduated from the Harvard Medical School - MIT Division of Health Sciences and Technology in 2004 and completed his residency in clinical pathology at Brigham and Women's Hospital.

As founder of Dimagi Inc., Vikram develops technology to improve global health. He was also named to the 2004 TR100 list of the world's top 100 innovators published by MIT Technology Review Magazine and a Schwab Fellow by the World Economic Forum.
