    David E. McKinney is the Vice Chairman of the Thomas J. Watson Jr. Institute for International Studies at Brown University. Additionally, he is President of the Thomas J. Watson Foundation and a trustee of the Paul and Daisy Soros Foundation. Mr. McKinney retired as president of the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York in 2004. In 1992, Mr. McKinney retired from IBM after a 36‐year career, where he was President and CEO of IBM Europe. In 1987, Mr. McKinney was elected senior vice president and a member of the Management Committee and Corporate Management Board of the firm. Mr. McKinney earned his BS in marketing from the University of Tennessee in 1956.
